Comet, the Sports-Enthused Goldfish

Comet, a two year-old goldfish from LA, was trained by his owner Dr. Dean Pomerleau to play football, basketball, and limbo dance under a bar! He can also play fetch, slalom around poles and push a rugby ball. Geez, I don’t know any people who can do all that!
Comet was trained using the well-proven technique of positive enforcement: each time he performed a move correctly Dr. Pomerleau gave him some food. He says he didn’t do anything tricky and that anyone can train their fish:
“There is mounting evidence that fish are more intelligent than people give them credit for,” the fish training expert said.
“With the correct tools and the basic promise of a food reward, fish can very quickly learn complex tricks - like the limbo, slalom or playing fetch.
“Now people in the market for a dog might want to consider a fish instead.”
Dr. Pomerleau has done this before with a three year-old calico fantail he’s named Albert Einstein - but Albert should watch his back: Comet has already learned all of the tricks Albert knows and is set to take away his reigning title as the world’s most intelligent goldfish!
