Jellyfish Aquarium
These aren’t technically pets but this is a cool idea for the pet-phobic or for those aquarium fanatics who’d like to bring something fun to work!
It’s the Aquapict LED Jellyfish Aquarium by Banpresto and he jellyfish are made of a “highly realistic” silicone and subtly change color with the help of a five-color LED lighting system (red, yellow, green, blue, and purple).
The aquarium will run you $169US.

Hey, you found me a good pet — actually, you know, I’ve gotten kind of attached to Cedar’s fish. I swear she’s so smart for a fish. She’s really social. She does this cute little swim dance when I walk over. I must be a better pet owner than I thought.
