Pet of the Week: Bink
This week’s Pet of the Week is Bink the cockatiel, owned by Kristal.
Kristal writes:
“Bink is my grey cockatiel. He’s about 11 years old; I got him when I was in high school! Bink and I have been through a lot together — college apartments, moving across the country and back, breaking up with a longtime boyfriend and then meeting the man who would become my husband… it’s been a pretty wild decade.
Bink enjoys eating eggs, millet, and sneaking bites of food off people’s plates. His favorite toys include magazine subscription cards (he puts them on his head and wolf whistles), pens (which he likes to throw around the room and hide in strange places), and my knitting needles.”

It’s because of Kristal’s writing about Bink over the years that if I were to ever own a bird it’d be a cockatiel. He comes across as quite a character: big personality in a little package!

Ok, for a pet he is pretty cute. Although I can’t imagine letting a pet sit on my laptop. Yikes. What if they erased everything!

Kristal - he is adorable!
Jennifer - I’ve had much heavier walk across the keyboard without a problem (one of our cats loooves making you pay attention to him by plopping down right on top of your arms as you type) - I’d be more worried about a possible cleaning situation! :D Has that ever happened, Kristal?

yep, it has happened once or twice… which is why he can only sit on cheapo keyboards and not my laptop!
