Pet of the Week: Ernie

This week’s Pet of the Week is Ernie:

Alicia writes:

Age: 13 years old 14 tomorrow! Happy Birthday, Ernie!

Breed: Domestic short hair

Favorite Food: cream cheese, or Whisker Lickins. Sometimes eats regular cat food as well.

Favorite Toy: catnip sock

Favorite Place to Sleep: In a box, or anything box like (suitcase, trombone case, shoe box, etc)

Ernie came to live with us after being adopted from the SPCA with his sister Cleo. He is a very, VERY vocal cat who loves to talk to us, even if it’s in the middle of the night. Even though he’d like the world to think he’s cool and aloof, the truth is that he’s a Class A Cuddlebug, and loves to snuggle with us wherever we might be.

He’s been my constant companion since the day he rode home in the pocket of my shirt, and has moved cross country with me three times. He is always there when I am sick, curling up against me and nuzzling me reassuringly until I feel better. He’s the best cat I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.
