Pet of the Week: Murphy
Our first Pet of the Week (which will usually run on Mondays, I think) comes from my friend Alicia:
I have actually had the pleasure of meeting Murphy, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, many times and he is as stinkin’ cute in person as he is in pictures. Alicia writes:
“Murphy was an early birthday gift from my Mom. I’ve always wanted a Corgi, and he was an adorable puppy! Murphy loves to chase other dogs, and has no idea that he’s half their size. He is full of smiles and personality and has a bark loud enough to shatter glass. Murphy loves to cuddle on the couch with us, and absolutely LOVES the dog park. A very sociable boy, he’s always up to meet new friends.”
Murph (as he’s also called) is 1 ½ years old, eats Iams Chunks and ice cubes, enjoys playing with socks, squeaky bones and tennis balls. His favorite sleeping spot is an open lap. He also has a MySpace!

Yay, Corgi! I love those little bunny butts! I’ll be getting one in about 5 months (counting the days!). Maybe then my little guy can be the pet of the week. ;) I’ve even started a blog about corgis myself.

JuLo: Hi and welcome! I have to agree on the bunny butt, I get to see a lot of pictures of him and his little hiney is almost as cute as his mug. Congrats on your future pup — definitely send in pics when you get him!

He is beautiful! I’m a brand new Corgi owner myself! Alicia, it looks like you’ve done a wonderful job raising Murphy!
