Then he’d rip the kitchen apart trying to get back out again. I’d let him back out, he’d go back up to the window sill and begin his ’save me’ wail again and we’d do this over and over again until I decided it wasn’t fun anymore and finally I just shut the door behind him when he came in for what ended up being the last time. Sammy worships and adores me (probably because I was willing to play his dumb game with him over and over again.)
