The Pets of b5

I put out a call for other b5ers to submit pictures and info about their pets and we’ll start off with the first three submitted:

This is Misha, submitted by Mary Jo, Channel Editor for the Travel & Culture Channel and writer of FlyAwayCafe and The Chicago Traveler. Mary Jo says: “Here’s my four-footed guy. His name is Misha, and he’s a 3 1/2 year old Bengal/Flame Point Siamese mix. He’s a very big boy!”

Next is D’artagnan (also known as D’art), a Papillon submitted by Julie at DeclutterIt. Julie has a very cute story about how they came to acquire D’art:

“My husband wasn’t quite sure how a dog would fit into our already hectic family, so our friends, whose Papillon had just had puppies asked if we would puppy sit one for a week during Christmas. They were going skiing and needed homes for 2 of the pups. We said yes.

They told of that we could also use that as a trial period and see how our kids did with the puppy and see if we thought we were ready for a puppy in the family. So, we told the kids we were just puppy sitting for the week.

Well, about 3 days into it, we decided we would keep him because he was so darn cute and a very well behaved little thang, but we didn’t tell the kids. On Christmas morning when they woke up there was a card under the Christmas tree that said “Open me Last”.

When they opened the card there was a little riddle they had to guess and the answer to the riddle was their last Christmas present. Once they figured it out, they looked at us and said “A dog? Is it D’art?” We said “Yes!” and they were so excited they started crying.

It was a Christmas I will never forget and neither will they. He is definitely a member of our family. We’ve had him for almost 2 years now.”

Last for now but certainly not least is Ally, a Torbie submitted by Kim at Indie Style File. Kim says “She’s a handful, but she’s a sweetheart too!”
